Hello, I’m Sarah Goldsmith, a qualified craniosacral
therapist based in Edinburgh. I first became interested in exploring
alternative healing therapy 10 years ago, during a
difficult time in my own life. Since then I’ve been on a deep healing journey
discovering more about how we can heal and restore our connection with our
bodies and their innate sense of health and wholeness.
During craniosacral sessions I felt like my body was being listened to, and I
felt patterns of tension and contraction in my body start to ease. I felt a sense of embodiment and gained a deeper understanding
of the experiences that had been stored in my body, integrating unprocessed
trauma.
After feeling the transformative benefits of the
therapy, I decided to train to be a craniosacral therapist and I completed the training in 2022.
I am a registered member of The Craniosacral Therapy
Association UK and adhere to the Association’s Code of Ethics and Conduct and
Standards of Practice.
Outside
of therapy, I enjoy spending time in nature and activities like wild swimming
and hiking.
Part of my journey has been finding
out more about the relationship between the body and trauma and stress, and how
we can heal the body naturally.
Dr Gabor Mate is a psychotherapist
and author. He also worked as a physician. He believes that trauma lies at the
heart of so many modern-day illnesses.
I’ve included a link with an article
and short interview with him on this subject which I find interesting:

I have benefitted from reading books and
watching videos by Dr Gabor Mate, Peter Levine and Bessel Van der Kolk on this
subject.
I'm available to discuss your questions about craniosacral therapy or if you have questions about
your own journey and how it might help you.
